Piledriver Online is the brainchild of long time wrestling fan and writer Stephen Ashfield.
He’s been reading wrestling magazines since he was a kid way back in the dark ages but believes that the magazines out there in the shops at the moment may well be great reads but there’s something missing. Piledriver Online will fill those gaps as Stephen, who recently won the Two Sheds Review writer of the year award, explains:
" Let me say one thing straight away. I love reading ‘Powerslam’ and ‘Fighting Spirit’ and never miss an edition but they don’t truly satisfy my needs as a wrestling fan.
Piledriver Online which is an offshoot of the Pilediver magazine I launched in 2005 will include extensive coverage of the UK wrestling scene. Who else will guarantee you at least ten pages of news and on top of that, interviews with British wrestlers. Who else is going to include at least eighteen pages an edition devoted to the history of professional wrestling all over the world? Each month we’ll have a mixture of news, interviews and reviews and articles written by top columnists. We’ll also have at least six pages of articles about women’s wrestling and you’ll learn there’s a lot more about women’s wrestling than Diva’s. The revolution is about to begin. Piledriver Online will change the way you read wrestling magazines! "
Currently the Piledriver Online team consists of:
Stephen Ashfield (Editor), Ray Wilson (Web Designer). Columnists: April Hunter, James Moreland, The Cynic, Julian Radbourne, Ian Dowland and Peter Staniforth.
This website was designed and is maintained by Ray Wilson, a young web designer from Yorkshire. It was developed using Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 and Adobe Photoshop 7. It is hosted by Site5.com (an excellent host!) and the domain was purchased at 123reg.co.uk. The entire website has been checked and has been successfully assessed as valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional coding, and is controlled by web compliant Cascade Style Sheets. The download counter on the downloads page was acquired from phpjunkyard.com, a great site for click and hit counters.
