Linda's Thoughts - A Much Improved Raw by Linda Robin on 27 Aug 2008 |
| I’m a day late with my column, but I want to talk about Raw, John Cena’s injury, and Mike Adamle. I have to say that Monday’s Raw was quite an improvement from last week’s show. At least this week’s show made more sense, unlike last week when things were just thrown together. There was one match, that kind of pissed me off and I’ll start with that match. Other than that one segment everything else was good. Wow that’s nice to say for a change. So let me start with the negative, and then on to the rest of the show, Cena and Mr. No Personality Adamle. Linda's Thoughts - ECW and Smackdown by Linda Robin on 24 Aug 2008 |
| I thought ECW and Smackdown were much better shows then the live Raw that I attended. And it took only one EXCELLENT match to make ECW more enjoyable than Raw and I can’t wait to talk about that main event. As far as Smackdown goes, the show wasn’t as excellent as it’s been, BUT it was still a very good show, and I’m being selfish here, but I feel so gypped that Raw was the worst of the week. So let me get right to ECW’s main event and then on to a decent Smackdown minus their top star. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - My Live Raw Experience by Linda Robin on 19 Aug 2008 |
| I got an email last week from a reader and he told me that one of the sites that I post for has a forum and in this forum many are DEMANDING that I get fired. The reason? Because they say all I do is complain about Raw. They have had it with me. Well after reading this, if they read this, I’m afraid they are going to demand my head. Well here it goes. I was there live last night with my son Jason. I have gone to every Raw that comes here for over 9 years at the All State arena. I have seen the greatest shows and some that were fair, but last night’s show was one of the worst that I have ever attended. Listen I had the greatest seats, and I could not wait to go, but after the show my son said he can’t see going to another one, and I guess I will think twice before I decide to go in January when Raw returns. Linda's Thoughts - Summer Slam Predictions by Linda Robin on 17 Aug 2008 |
| This is it, the biggest event of the summer, and for the most part the Summer Slam card is weak at best. But it took one wrestler to make me decide to keep my order and get Summer Slam. The main title matches having nothing going for them, but it’s the one gimmick match that’s going to make this pay per view worth seeing and with that let me share my predictions with you. I’ll tell you this card is a little tough when it comes to picking the winners, but I’m hoping to at least break even, hell if I do I’ll be one lucky woman. [Read More] |

Dr. Wrestling:WWE Releases by Dr. Wrestling on 16 Aug 2008 |
| I already posted a column this week but there have been some recent releases that I'm going to take some time to discuss. Some were surprising while others weren't but it will be interesting to see if some of these recently released wrestlers continue their careers elsewhere. Some of the wrestlers that are now taking a number in the unemployment line were recently on T.V. and a few of them were even getting somewhat of a push so it has to make you wonder, when the WWE decides to give a wrestler a push is because they think the wrestler can become a star or is it because the WWE is trying anything to make new stars? Don't get me wrong here, I understand the WWE is always trying to generate new stars but how valuable is a wrestler that they are pushing when they're getting released in the middle of the push? I just don't see the point of investing T.V. time into a character and then releasing them mid way through the push. Logically, wouldn't it make more sense to at least see if the push is effective? That's being said, Let's discuss some of the releases. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - ARE YOU KIDDING ME? by Linda Robin on 12 Aug 2008 |
| Thanks to last night’s Raw, I am re-thinking about ordering Summer Slam. I ordered it already, but I seriously might cancel the order. The show was a train wreck and I think what bothers me the most is what they are doing with their top star AND after such promising shows once the draft happened Raw is quickly going down the tube. I would say Raw was one big CRAPFEST last night. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - A Little Raw, ECW and SD Talk by Linda Robin on 10 Aug 2008 |
| Hey guys it’s nice to be back, but I’m not sure it’s on a regular basis yet. In case you missed my little announcement last Sunday, I will quickly give you an update and recap our lovely situation. But first, I want to thank so many of you who have emailed me to see if we are okay, I can’t tell you what that means to not only me, but my husband and son, so thank you. We are adding on to our house, that’s the good part, but on the second day of digging the excavators hit something and part of our foundation fell. The house shook, vibrated and moved and part of the floor in a few rooms opened up at the seam. It was absolutely horrifying being there and hearing the noises and seeing one our dog’s paws hanging out of the opening. So we had to evacuate fast last Saturday and while we were out they got a crew to res-shore what came down. And then we were able to return. So we ARE here, but the re shoring is only good for a short time and we are waiting for contractors to come and FIX the problem. So today I have time to write my column, which makes me happy, but we are taking all of this day by day so if you don’t see me Tuesday or over the weekend you know it’s again hectic here. Now that that’s over with I would just love to share some of my thoughts about last week’s Raw, ECW and Smackdown. I feel so out of the loop but believe me I didn’t miss a show. [Read More] |

Dr. Wrestling:Top 5 that should have been WWE champion by Dr. Wrestling on 31 Jul 2008 |
| This week for That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It I'll be telling you who I think are the top five wrestlers that should have been the WWF/WWE champion but for one reason or another didn't get a chance to have a main event title run. I got the idea for this column when I was watching a tape of Summer Slam 1989 this past week and it was really unbelievable to see how much wrestling has changed over the past two decades. The shape of things to come By Lee Vox UK by Stephen Ashfield on 30 Jul 2008 |
| "Land of the giants" ... fairly safe to say that’s an expression we’ve all heard associated with the WWE over the years. Moreover, there is a commonly held belief that you won’t get a protracted push up the WWE ranks unless you are of a sufficiently above average height and/or build. But, statistically, this conclusion doesn’t seem to be accurate (even taking into account the WWE’s policy of adding 20 pounds and 2 inches to every wrestler’s numbers). Of the 17 WWE/World champions over the last 5 years only FOUR have been above 6ft 5". Compare that to the SEVEN that have been under 6ft 2" and it appears as though height (or a lack of it) doesn’t preclude anyone from a world title reign. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - Adamle GM? Are You Kidding Me? by Linda Robin on 29 Jul 2008 |
| Can we talk? Hey last night’s Raw was like watching a three-ring circus. Sure there were a few good things on the show, but it was like hey let’s just make put whatever out there, it was a show that did not flow and of course the ending was not only a total flop for the live, Washington, DC crowd, but it was an absolute disappointment for me too. I want to tell you what appealed to me, but more importantly there were many things that were just so off, and one had to do with a guy that I am a big fan of, but last night on the mic this guy totally bombed, so of course I want to talk about that as well. So quickly here’s what worked for me last night. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - Another 5 Star Smackdown by Linda Robin on 26 Jul 2008 |
| Smackdown is getting better and better each week. From the hot opening segment right through the outstanding main event Smackdown was just one hell of an awesome show. And with that said the only thing that I didn’t like was the winner of the Battle Royal. Of course I’ll get into that in a little bit but this show was a great follow up to GAB or at least it was as far as the Edge and Vickie saga goes, I was just thrilled with Smackdown. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - D'Lo Returns and A Fun Raw by Linda Robin on 22 Jul 2008 |
| WWE’s pay per view streak of hot shows ended for me on Sunday night. I can’t say that I was much of a GAB fan. The Bash looked so strong on paper, but unfortunately live the show just didn’t come off strong. There wasn’t really one dud of a match but most of the matches were nothing more than what we get on Raw, ECW or Smackdown. Hey maybe I’m just being a downer because I did so badly with my predictions. No the show really was weak and I’m not going to spend too much time talking about it. I will tell you that there were three matches that I liked, and I will go into each one just a little bit, and then I have a few things to say about last night’s Raw. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - GAB Predictions by Linda Robin on 20 Jul 2008 |
| You can bet that I will be ordering The Great American Bash; in fact I ordered it on Thursday. I am really excited about this one because this is the first pay per view with CM Punk as World Champion and I guess this show could make or break him, and I’m hoping that it’s definitely going to make him. And along with his match against Batista the rest of the card looks pretty damn hot as well. So let me give you tonight’s picks. I will admit I had a tough time with all the championship matches, the women’s match included. I think without a doubt there are only two matches that are a given and I will start with those two first. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - RAW IS KANE by Linda Robin on 15 Jul 2008 |
| Of course last night’s Raw was a major step up from last week’s show. In fact the first hour was excellent. I’m happy to say there were only a few things that I didn’t like, but this show had a lot of cool segments and I’m happy that we didn’t get more of the same from last Monday’s Raw. I liked the feeling that this show had and all in all Raw came off very well. I want to touch on what I really didn’t like and then it’s on to all the positives of the show. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - A Sizzling Smackdown by Linda Robin on 13 Jul 2008 |
| I don’t think I need to say this, but what the hell I will. Smackdown was 10 times better than Raw. I mean it wasn’t even close. And part of the reason for such a good show was the lack of bathroom jokes. I guess that’s because Smackdown doesn’t have Raw’s head writer Brian Gewirtz. Bathroom jokes are Gewirtz’s specialty. It was a breath of fresh air watching last night’s show and I can’t wait to talk about it. [Read More] |

Dr. Wrestling: Victory Road by Dr. Wrestling on 13 Jul 2008 |
| This week for That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It I'll be telling you who I think the winners will be at Victory Road. It's been a while since I've written a column about TNA and quite honestly it's more or less due to TNA's product being very stale. Now that's just my opinion but even the most die hard has to recognize TNA trying to recycle past storylines and matches. Besides a stale product, TNA really lacks a sense of logic for both their shows and PPVs. An example of this is when Sting returned to TNA AGAIN this past week on Impact. How many times has Sting "returned" to TNA? and more importantly why have him "return." What I mean by that is what is the logic reason, storyline wise for Sting showing up in the Impact Zone? The past few months have really shown how terrible TNA's booking has become and the way Sting is booked is a great example of it. Quite frankly, TNA is booked more like a glorified indy then the second pro wrestling company in the United States. TNA has Sting show up to say he will be at a particular PPV with the only reason being he has name value so they throw him on the show in hopes of getting a few more PPVs. TNA books a "star" on a PPV simply for name value the same way indy companies book a "star" on a show trying to sell more tickets. I'm not trying to bury TNA or Sting here, the reason I'm mentioning this things about TNA's booking is because with the talent roster they have, TNA should be more then capable of producing a product that will help build their company but due to lame storylines, TNA is looked at as more of a joke then a competitive wrestling company. Okay, now that I've written a rant about TNA's booking, let's get to some picks for the PPV. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - A Painful Raw To Watch by Linda Robin on 08 Jul 2008 |
| Okay so I want to apologize for not writing a Smackdown column over the weekend especially after I said that I would. Again the old mind let me down and I forgot about the 4th of July weekend and that we would be away 2 of the three weekend days. So then last night after watching an atrocious Raw I thought that I would write about how much I LOVED Smackdown and then from there go right into last night’s miserable show. But I changed my mind and I’m going to go right into Raw and how they have totally F’d up two characters and, well let me just get into my rant and you will see why I hated Raw. [Read More] |

Dr. Wrestling: Punk wins title by Dr. Wrestling on 03 Jul 2008 |
| This week for That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It I'll be telling you what I think of CM Punk winning the World Heavy Weight title. It seemed obvious that a World title would change hands at Night Of Champions but that didn't happen so what happens with Raw? Would the WWE's flag ship show be without a world title? The question was answered this past week on Raw and it's one of the biggest shockers in pro wrestling history. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - NOC/Raw And Punk Wins, Punk Wins by Linda Robin on 01 Jul 2008 |
| This could be one of those VERY long columns because there is so much to say about Night of Champions and last night’s Raw. But I hate to make this pages and pages of me gushing over both shows, so what I plan on doing is keeping NOC short and focusing on some of the fantastic segments from Raw. Finally Vince McMahon seems to have gotten the message that ratings are dropping because the product needs some help, and giving away a million dollars isn’t the answer. Ah what a fantastic Raw last night, but let me tell you why I liked NOC so much. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - Predictions For Night Of Champions by Linda Robin on 29 Jun 2008 |
| Again I forgot about tonight’s pay per view. Boy talk about being forgetful? I had planned on today’s column being all about Smackdown, but of course that’s not going to happen because I can’t wait to share my picks for Night of Champions with you. What I would like to do is just mention what I liked about Friday’s show and then go right into my predictions. And I will tell you this; I’m totally changing my mind on The WWE title winner. I’m going with someone totally different to win the WWE title, and that’s because of the way the draft turned out. Of course you’ll see what I mean in a little bit. But as I said let me share some Smackdown thoughts with you and then on to my predictions. [Read More] |

Night of the Champions Preview by Steve Ashfield by Stephen Ashfield on 28 Jun 2008 |
| I’m not totally sold on the idea of ‘Night of Champions’ you know, let the Piledriver Point be made. You see, on one hand it’s great that all the titles are due to be defended (though no sign of an IC title match yet) but on the other hand it’s like showing your cards at the end of a poker game and revealing you’ve just bluffed everyone with a pair of two’s. Some of the title holders and challengers on this Sunday’s show aren’t exactly going to set their divisions alight are they? Chavo, Mark Henry, Finlay and Hornswoggle and Holly/Rhodes aren’t exactly the best around are they? Anyway, despite some of the mediocrity and reliance on stars who made their names a while back and are swiftly going downhill it’s time to preview the show. [Read More] |

Dr. Wrestling: Night Of Champions by Dr. Wrestling on 26 Jun 2008 |
| This week for That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It I'll be telling you who I think the winners will be at Night Of Champions. Before discussing the winners, there's a few things I want to mention about the card itself. Night of Champions, where every match is a title match seems to be a good concept in theory but I have to say the under card on paper at least seems very lack luster. It's also interesting to note that the IC title isn't being defended but it would seem that it's being defended on the show to further the storyline of HBK/Jericho, which has been a very solid storyline. In the past I used to just come up with names and move them around, but this time around it’s not that easy for me. Linda's Thoughts - A Raw That I Would Love To Forget by Linda Robin on 10 Jun 2008 |
| I could easily go through Raw’s entire show, but man am I livid, that’s right my sweetness streak came to an end last night after watching a Raw crapfest. I am so pissed that I probably shouldn’t even be writing this until I settle down, but what the hell I know whether you agree with me or not, you guys will understand. There was only one major highlight of the night and one decent build up of the night but other than what I just mentioned the rest of the show was a dud. So let me start with the fantastic highlight of the show then the next thing that I thought played out fairly well and then it’s all about the MONAY!!!! [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - SD/Vickie/Edge/Batista and More by Linda Robin on 08 Jun 2008 |
| I’m writing this column in between very severe weather. I had planned on talking about Smackdown yesterday but we were getting hit on and off with very bad thunderstorms. In fact we got it again today and things just cleared up about 20 minutes ago, however we are not out of the woods because more bad weather is on the way. But I was just so thrilled about Smackdown that I wanted so badly to write about it. All in all with Raw, ECW and Smackdown I think with two out of three shows shinning (ECW/Smackdown) we had a nice week of WWE programming. [Read More] |

The following night on RAW we were forced to endure faux respect and love aimed at Ric as wrestlers young and old crawled out of the woodwork to ‘thank’ Ric for paving a path, for the majority of those on the ramp, littered with potholes. Linda's Thoughts - SD Is Still On Cruise Control by Linda Robin on 22 Mar 2008 |
| There were two major highlights last night on Smackdown. Smackdown seems to be in pattern, and by that I mean it wasn’t a bad show, but it wasn’t a show that blew me away, it was an okay show and nothing more. Did it do a good job hyping matches for Wrestlemania? Yeah I think it did a fairly good job, but the show just seems to be on cruise control, something is lacking and that something is start power. However, one of the highlights of the night might have been a preview of who we will see join the Smackdown roster and if he does he will give the show a huge boost. I think I will start with this highlight first. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - Vince Should Demand His 20 Million Back by Linda Robin on 04 Mar 2008 |
| I could easily talk about all the good things that Raw gave us last night. I think last night’s show was one of the best Raws that we have seen in quite a while. As I said I could spend so much time talking about so many well done segments, but I’m not going too. Well okay maybe quickly I will list all the segments that I liked so much, but there was one angle that pissed me off so much, that I really want to most of the time today addressing that crap. Listen I am so pissed and I think the majority of you know exactly what I am talking about because the feedback that I have received so far is right with me. So let me tell you what made Raw such a good show last night and then end with what almost brought not only Raw down but what has the makings of making Wrestlemania a bad joke. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - Did SD Forget About Wrestlemania? by Linda Robin on 01 Mar 2008 |
| Someone needs to tell the writers on Smackdown that Wrestlemania is just weeks away and that they need to build for that show and not fill the two hours with so much unnecessary segments. I hate to say this, but in the last few weeks Smackdown has really gone downhill. I thought last week’s show was a drag; well last night’s show was just as bad if not worse. With Wrestlemania now 4 weeks away I just can’t believe that we are still getting some of the matches that we have seen over and over again and these matches have nothing what so ever to do with the pay per view. Linda's Thoughts - Raw/Flair/HBK and More by Linda Robin on 26 Feb 2008 |
| So we have five more weeks until Wrestlemania and a Raw that built things up very well last night. Sure there was the usual “what a waste of time” segments, but for the most part this was a very solid and entertaining show. I thought the show got off to a very good start, and it ended on a positive note. And in between we got a five star match and a new match was booked for the show with an icon taking on a legend. This really was a show that was done so very right. And not that I wasn’t planning on ordering Wrestlemania, but after the show I am even more excited to see as they say the Grand Daddy of them all, Wrestlemania. And before I start you can hear me Saturday nights on From Over The Ropes http://www.webradiowcwp.org. I have a great time talking with the hosts Nick and Max so if you can check it out. Dr. Wrestling:The Road to Wrestlemania by Dr. Wrestling on 24 Feb 2008 |
| This week for That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It I'll be telling you what I think of the road to Wrestlemania. After watching No Way Out, it seems as though the wheels are now set in motion to start to the road to Wrestlemania XXIV and atleast the early line up to the card looks great. A few things should be noted before discussing the current storylines heading into Wrestlemania. Rey Mysterio has torn his bicep as was noted on WWE T.V. and as a result he will miss Wrestlemania, atleast as far as in ring action goes. It's also been reported that Hulk Hogan is trying to get himself a spot on the card, saying in a recent interview he should wrestle Ric Flair in a "career v.s. career" match and while it might sound like a decent match on paper, let's be honest here, this is just a lame attempt from Hogan to try to prove he can still draw but in reality he knows that Wrestlemania will be successful without him on the card. Don't get me wrong here, Hogan can still draw money but it's not necessary for him to be on the card for the show to be a successful draw because Wrestlemania sells itself just based on the Wrestlemania name. As far as Hogan's suggestion for a match v.s. Flair, I have to say Flair deserves a better opponent who can actually wrestle because Hogan might be a great in ring performer but he is terrible when it comes to any type of actual wrestling ability. I don't think Hogan needs or should be on the card and it doesn't look like the WWE is going to book Hogan anyway so maybe Hogan should focus on his supposed wrestling project that is being produced with Eric Bischoff. Now let's discuss some storylines on the road to Wrestlemania. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - NWO/Raw by Linda Robin on 19 Feb 2008 |
| I was going to go through all the matches from No Way Out and then go right into Raw, however, because of the way things turned out at No Way Out and then carried right into Raw I would rather focus on a few things that came out of Sunday and Monday’s show. If this sounds confusing to you just think how confusing it is to me to type this. Seriously let me tell you my thoughts about both shows without going through every single detail. By the way I’m proud to say that I did very well with my predictions. I haven’t been able to say that for a while. I just missed the Cena/Orton match since I went with Orton, but I did say that Orton wouldn’t lose the belt so at least I got that part right. So onto my thoughts from the last two days. Linda's Thoughts - No Way Out Predictions by Linda Robin on 17 Feb 2008 |
| Right off I have to say that out of the six matches that we are going to get tonight at No Way Out, I’m going to get four of them right. A few weeks ago there were two Raw matches that I was so sure about, but in the last couple of weeks I’m starting to feel like my original picks might not be the way to go. I will get more into that when toward the end of my column. What I’m going to do is start with the four that I feel are quite predictable and end with Raw’s two matches that are really making me go crazy because I keep going back and forth with my picks. Okay so here I go. [Read More] |

Dr. Wrestling:The Royal Rumble by Dr. Wrestling on 03 Feb 2008 |
| This week for That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It I'll be telling you what I think of The Royal Rumble. I usually watch the PPVs with the normal wrestling crew and we all enjoy some food while watching the PPV but they weren't avalible because of an event in their family so I was debating weather to actually order the PPV, which meant paying $40 for it. I thought "well, the card is really predictable but it's the Rumble so why not"? I ordered the show and one of my wrestling pals wanted to watch the PPV so before it started instead of watching the preview we went a a gas station to get some pretzels and ice tea...Ha Ha You know it's not a Rumble without pretzels and ice tea...Ha Ha Anyway we got back to my house just as the PPV started and I have to say it was a good decision to order the show because the Rumble had a few surprises, which is rare for a WWE PPV. Linda's Thoughts - RR/Raw and The Cena Era Begins Again by Linda Robin on 29 Jan 2008 |
| If I wanted to give you my complete thoughts on Raw, the Royal Rumble and the return of John Cena this would be one very long column. I did plan on just making this a Rumble/Raw column but I have to spend some time on talking about John Cena. There is no way I can let that go. So what I’m going to do is just give you very short opinions of my Royal Rumble and Raw thoughts and then it’s all about the Cena. And I missed two of my predictions; naturally the Rumble winner and I went with Jericho instead of JBL. But I think we all missed the winner of the Rumble. Okay let me start with the pay per view, then Raw and then it is on to Mr. Amazing. [Read More] |

The Heel/Face Divide by Danny Gray on 29 Jan 2008 |
| In modern society, no one really knows anymore the cowboys from the Indians. Who the good guys were and who were the bad guys? As the lines between ‘good guys and bad guys’ grows increasingly blurred, is the whole thing a dying art in a modern world where amidst increasing pressure from the Internet, smart fans, anti-heroes and rival sports the ‘bad’ guys have never had it so ‘good’. Here I investigate the heel vs. face dynamic and if it is a dying gimmick within professional wrestling while looking at the dynamic in other sports and how it’s faired within them. [Read More] |

Linda's Thoughts - Royal Rumble Predictions by Linda Robin on 27 Jan 2008 |
| In 2005 and 2006 picking the winner for the Royal Rumble was came easy for me. Last year I picked Shawn Michaels to win the Rumble, but it was the Undertaker that left as the Royal Rumble winner, and my back to back Rumble winning streak came to an end. Well tonight I am having a hell of a time picking a winner. In fact I’m having a hell of a time picking most of the show’s winners. There are 2 matches that I am certain that I will get right, but the rest of the matches can certainly go either way. I’m a little shaky about my predictions, but I always say it’s nice when a show isn’t too predictable. So on with my picks for tonight’s show. [Read More] |

Dr.Wrestling:Who will win at The Royal Rumble? by Dr. Wrestling on 26 Jan 2008 |
| I already posted a column this week but since the Royal Rumble is one of the premiere events for the WWE I'll take some time to discuss the show and who I think the winners will be as well as the start of "the road to Wrestlemania." The winner of the Rumble gets a shot at the title in the main event of the biggest show of the year so that definitely shows how important the Rumble is in terms of setting up storylines for Wrestlemania. The Rumble has also provided many memorable moments and matches. A few worth mentioning would be when Shawn Micheals only had one foot touch the floor and then would go on to win the match, Ric Flair winning the then WWF in a Rumble match, The Rock v.s. Mankind I Quit match, Stone Cold winning a few Rumbles and many other moments in pro wrestling history. Now let's discuss this year's Royal Rumble. [Read More] |

Dr. Wrestling:Signings, Debuts, and Releases by Dr. Wrestling on 22 Jan 2008 |
| This week for That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It I'll be telling you what I think of some of the recent signings, debuts, and releases. After taking extended time away from the ring and considering other career options, it's been reported that former WWE champion, The Big Show has signed a contract to return to the WWE. Although he is a former WWE champion, I have to question how effective Big Show will be in the WWE's current landscape and there's a few different reasons for that. Big Show hasn't really been seen as a top level main event star but rather someone that was given the title when a particular brand was running low on star power. Also it seems as though his size is really the main factor in why he was given a main event spot because it doesn't seem as though he is on the same level in terms of talent as other champions such as The Undertaker, John Cena, and Edge. Another reason why Big Show's return doesn't mean that much is because he doesn't exactly have a long list a great matches or really even a great title run despite being a multi time champion. As far as when Big Show actually returns it will be interesting to see what brand he wrestles for and how he will be used on the brand. he's been pushed as the unstoppable monster and there's not really another role for him but he hasn't been able to effectively establish that character. If Big Show returned to Raw it's possible he could be in a short term feud with Triple H before Wrestlemania or maybe even a feud with Shawn Micheals at some point in the future. If he went to Smackdown it could be a feud with Batista, which would probably be a train wreck or a feud with The Undertaker and that could be atleast an okay feud because The Undertaker can carry wrestlers to good matches. I don't think ECW would be an option for Big Show at this point because his title reign as ECW champion could be considered a flop at best so it seems as though he will return to Raw or Smackdown. Dr. Wrestling:Wrestling Returns by Dr. Wrestling on 28 Nov 2007 |
| This week for That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It I'll be telling you what I think of some of the recent returns in pro wrestling. When talking about recent returns to the wrestling world you would have to consider the return of Chris Jericho to be the one to have the most impact of all the recent stars that will get back in the ring. I know that WWE themselves basically spoiled Jericho's return so it wasn't a surprise but atleast it gave the fans a reason to tune in, which should help the ratings. I have to say last week Jericho's promo started somewhat generic but he eventually mentioned some funny stuff that reminded fans of the Y2J that they all remember from years past. It seems as though the WWE isn't wasting anytime, having Jericho feud with WWE champion, Randy Orton and I have to say at this point the WWE made a great decision putting Jericho back into the title picture where he belongs because it makes for what should be a very entertaining feud. Besides the former Undisputed Champion being a logical chose because of his skill, the WWE also doesn't really have any top level "good guys" to feud with Orton. Triple H has already feuded with Orton for the title twice, HBK has had his share of recent PPV title matches, and Cena is injured so it would seem like the only logically decision to have Jericho feuded with Orton for the title. It's been reported on internet sites that Jericho will challenge Orton for the title at Armageddon and I will be attending Armageddon at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania so I think it will be cool to see a Jericho v.s. Orton match for the title. Another note about Jericho is that his promo and match with Santino Marella were very entertaining so it seems like Jericho is still able to get it done in the ring, despite his time away from the ring. A quick side note to Santino Marella, I have to mention that he has become a great and very entertaining heel. Marella as a "fan" winning the IC title seemed very one dimensional but he's basically been able to reinvent his character when he turned heel. He deserves credit for making his "feud" with Stone Cold work because Santino was able to get heat from the crowd and Stone Cold only made one appearance during the course of the "feud". It was Santino's great mic skills about "stomping mud pies" that made the feud work and it will be interesting to see if Santino gets another run with IC title but this time as a heel IC champion. Dr. Wrestling:Who will win at Survivor Series? by Dr. Wrestling on 15 Nov 2007 |
| This week for That's My Story and I'm Sticking To It I'll be telling you who I think the winners will be at Survivor Series. There's a ten woman elimination match and it might be an okay match but how many classic ten person tag matches have you seen? The answer is probably not many and I think that's because a match can't really develop a pace during a ten person tag match. Since there's too many wrestlers to mention I'll just get to the prediction and I think Beth Phoenix’s team will win the match. [Read More] |

Preview of The New Breed v The ECW Originals by Steve Ashfield by Stephen Ashfield on 30 Mar 2007 |
| The Story behind the Match When Vince McMahon decided to revive ECW some of us feared the worse but none of us could have imagined it'd have been quite so disappointing or have imagined a PPV so bad as 'December to Dismember.' On January 30th, Mr McMahon finally made his way to ECW and he was not a happy man. He wasn't impressed with the history of ECW (despite all the money it's made him) and slagged off stars such as Sandman, Sabu, Mahoney and Dreamer. He proclaimed that he would change ECW for the better and introduced Elijah Burke, Matt Striker, Kevin Thorn and Marcus Cor Von as the New Breed of ECW wrestlers who would destroy the ECW Originals. Wrestlemania- “The Trump Card” by Stephen Ashfield on 30 Mar 2007 |
| Wrestlemania, the granddaddy of them all, the superbowl of wrestling, the biggest show of the year. Wrestlemania with a few exceptions is traditionally headlined by the winner of the Royal Rumble taking on the current WWE champion (or in recent years World Heavyweight Champion.) Along with that big match, in recent years there has been another match that seems to be taking place every year. No I’m not talking about a match over a specific title or a match with a particular stipulation; I’m talking about what I like to refer to as Vince McMahon’s “trump card”. [Read More] |

Wrestlemania 23 Predictions By James Moreland by Stephen Ashfield on 30 Mar 2007 |
| The WWE’s self-proclaimed “Greatest Show on Earth” is upon us again, and this year’s event promises to deliver a fine show despite a surprising lack of ‘name’ talent in comparison to previous years’ offerings. The following is a rundown of the card, with my predictions for each match. Kane vs. The Great Khali By no stretch of the imagination will this set Detroit alight, but the meeting of these two sheer gargantuan forces should negate the highly likely prospect of the match falling flat on its face. Kane will produce a more enthusiastic effort than we have witnessed in his usual RAW showings, but the task of carrying the dismal Khali will prove too difficult even for the fired up Big Red Machine.
